PlayFit 53 Review

Advantages: According to the review, PlayFit 53 is a decent smart band. It has Rad Design, and it fits nicely in your hand. It also has a fine battery life and a simple app interface.

Drawbacks: The PlayFit 53 smart band has lackluster display quality, and also the display felt small. It does not have a custom mode feature, and it needs minimal 3rd-party app support.

The Bottom Line: PlayFit 53 is a decent product at a price of around Rs. 2500. It’s got a sturdy build, and the straps have a very nice feel to them that adds to the comfortability factor and also has fair battery life, but there are other brands with having more good features at this price.

PlayFit 53 vs Mi Band 4

Playfit smart band has features like heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, step count monitoring, and 14 different sport modes like walking, running, cycling, basketball, skipping, badminton, etc. It also provides you the option to control the music player and camera of your smartphone, Call and Notification Alert, Alarm Clock, and also Sedentary Alert. The company claims a battery backup of 7-10 days on “normal usage”. And it has a button touch with an LCD colored screen. The band gives tough competition to Mi Band 4 which offers 5 ATM waterproof built, and button touch but Mi Band offering a much better battery life, watch faces, changeable straps, and overall is a better user experience with the Mi Fit app.

PlayFit 53 Smart Band Features Review

Design and Build

When it comes to the design. PlayFit band has ritzy neon green stripes with a gentle grey accent design. It is made up of rubber material that is flexible and fits comfortably in your hand. It won’t make you sweat underneath the grip as some other materials do but brand material doesn’t feel very premium. The belt has 15 slits that can be suitable on any hands. It is a lite and compact form. The display supports LCD touch and colored screen spanning 0.98-inches diagonally. But the band is missing outdoor legibility. Even the display is hasty to go dark, which is always annoying. The band is IP68 dust and waterproof certified. Overall in terms of size and display is as big as Mi Band 4.

Battery Life

The other Fitness bands usually have longer uptime on a single charge as compared to smartwatches and the PlayFit 53 can last you a full week. It doesn’t need a separate charger as it attaches to any USB adapter. Just take it out from the hand and hook it to any of your recent smartphone chargers and it will be charged soon. After a full charge, it lasts for up to 7-10 days. The PlayFit has done a good job in the case of battery life.

Connectivity

The connectivity is quite simple. It has Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. The device is compatible with Android 4.4. and above and iOS 9.0 and above devices. The pairing is easy using the PlayFit app, which you can download from google. The PlayFit 53 has a touch-based UI. The PlayFit smart band also supports notifications for a select few apps, including the big ones that matter most like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and others. In the actual device interface, you get a round icon on the screen, tapping which turns on display. However, you might face difficulties in receiving app notifications many times while SMS arrived promptly and regularly.

Fitness Features

The PlayFit 53 supports tracking modes like Walking, Running, Skipping, Badminton, Cycling, Football, Basketball, etc. They don’t have swimming mode, even the band has the waterproof certification. It also fails to detect our erratic daytime naps. PlayFit 53 confuses vehicle rides for walking. But at a low price, the smart band tracking functions are accurate enough to be useful. The Sedentary Alert let you know of your prolonged inactivity. It also covers all major activity as mentioned above. Overall, PlayFit 53 has nice features according to the price.

Conclusion

As per the PlayFit 53 Review, it is a sporty band that has many useful features. It doesn’t have much better display quality, some features like accurate notifications, and better build materials that are offered by other brands like Xiaomi and Honor. even the remote control music and camera need to be better. At a low price, PlayFit is decent for the entry-level smart band if you use the band for tracking the general levels of activity and progress.
